On June 29 and 30, 2020, the first meeting of the 10th Guangzhou Lawyers' Congress was successfully held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center. Xie Xiaodan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. Ou Yongliang, Vice President of the All China Lawyers Association, Liao Ronghui, Secretary and Director of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Judicial Bureau and First Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Industry, He Youhan, Member and Deputy Director of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Judicial Bureau and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Industry, Zuo Biao, Director of the Political Department of the Guangzhou Judicial Bureau, and Long Xiaolin, full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Industry, attended the meeting. Director Wu Xiang, Secretary Zhang Yuquan, Lawyer Chen Guangpeng, Lawyer Zhong Tiehui, Lawyer Wan Hailong, and Lawyer Lin Xiqun of Guangdong Legal Shengbang Law Firm attended the meeting as legal representatives, with Lawyer Zhong Tiehui serving as a member of the conference's presidium.

At the conference, our lawyer representatives carefully listened to, participated in discussions, and voted on important matters such as the work report of the 9th Council of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association (hereinafter referred to as the Guangzhou Lawyers Association), the work report of the Supervisory Board, and the annual budget and final account report. They also put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions regarding industry development and lawyer work.

On June 30th, the conference elected 49 directors by secret ballot to form the 10th Municipal Lawyers Association Council, and elected 9 supervisors to form the Municipal Lawyers Association Supervisory Board. After the relevant election process, Lawyer Chen Guangpeng from Legal Shengbang was re elected as the Executive Director of the Municipal Lawyers Association!

Before the closing ceremony, the conference also commended the winners of the "Outstanding Contribution Award for the Industry of Guangzhou Lawyers Association in 2016-2019", "Outstanding Law Firms in Guangzhou in 2016-2019, Excellent Lawyers in Guangzhou, and Excellent Young Lawyers in Guangzhou", and "Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations, Outstanding Communist Party Members, and Outstanding Party Workers in the City's Lawyer Industry in 2019-2020". Among them, Lawyer Zhong Tiehui from our firm was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Lawyer of Guangzhou City from 2016 to 2019"!
