In order to enhance the professional level of our lawyers in criminal defense and strengthen the exchange and training of criminal lawyers in handling cases, the Criminal Business Department of Guangdong Legal Shengbang Law Firm successfully held a retreat learning conference on the afternoon of May 27, 2020 in the 31st floor conference room of our firm. The meeting invited expert members of the Ministry of Criminal Affairs, including Lawyer Wang Junsheng, Lawyer Liu Yan, Lawyer Yu Hailiang, Lawyer Li Li, Lawyer Weng Guangqing, to participate. Lawyer Chen Liang, Minister of Criminal Affairs, Lawyer Li Zilong, Vice Minister, and Lawyer Yang Juan, Secretary General, attended the meeting, and the meeting was chaired by Lawyer Chen Liang.

Prior to the convening of this meeting, the business department had submitted the following conference discussion topics to all participating lawyers:

1. How to further improve the criminal handling level of lawyers in the legal system Shengbang;

2. If further strengthening the training of young lawyers in handling criminal cases;

3. How to further strengthen the business exchange and cooperation of legal Shengbang lawyers in handling criminal cases.

Based on their years of experience in legal affairs and criminal defense, participating lawyers exchanged in-depth opinions, shared their respective case handling experiences, and held heated discussions on the above-mentioned conference themes, expressing their own opinions and expressing their opinions freely.

The attending lawyers actively provided suggestions and suggestions on how to further improve the future work of the Legal Shengbang Criminal Business Department, put forward many reasonable suggestions and opinions, and unanimously formed the following work opinions:

1. In order to further enhance the professional level of legal Shengbang lawyers in handling criminal cases and further subdivide the professional direction of criminal case handling, we plan to explore the establishment of specialized criminal case handling and defense research institutions based on the expertise of each member lawyer in the criminal field, combined with the overall advantages of the department, and relying on the business department. Department members can voluntarily register to participate;

2. Further strengthen the construction of standardized operational procedures for criminal business;

3. Collect and compile a directory of excellent and typical criminal cases from law firms, and compile them into a volume;

4. Establish a normalized mechanism for discussing and researching difficult criminal cases, and strengthen the construction of research results in criminal handling;

5. Regularly conduct specialized learning and training sessions for young lawyers in the institution, inviting experienced lawyers from different legal industries such as judges, prosecutors, and police officers to share their case handling experience and help young lawyers grow better;

6. Further strengthen communication and cooperation among colleagues within the department, promote innovation through experience, share resources, complement each other's strengths, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
