Rong Wei Wei, Supervisor of Guangzhou Lawyers Association (referred to as "Guangzhou Lawyers Association"), Director Xu Wu, Deputy Director Yang, Deputy Director Li Xialin, Secretary General of Jinsha, and Deputy Director Zhuang Dandan of the Public Welfare Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association; Director Wu Xiang, Party Secretary Zhang Yuquan, Deputy Party Secretary and Managing Partner Chen Guangpeng, Party Committee Member and Managing Partner Yang Ruihua, Deputy Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Zhang Pu, Managing Partners Lin Xiqun, Lai Yukang, Qin Jianlong, Wu Hao, and Supervisory Board Representative Huang Haiyong; Director Liao Zhijie of the Legal Aid Public Welfare Center of Beijing Yingke (Guangzhou) Law Firm, Lawyer Wang Huang, Senior Partner of Guangdong Jinqiao Baixin Law Firm, Representative of the Public Welfare Committee and the Non Insurance Committee of the Law Association, and over 40 outstanding young and middle-aged lawyers from our firm attended the meeting. Director Xu Wu proposed expectations for deepening the development of public welfare legal services: firstly, to identify the correct positioning, not forget the original intention, and adhere to the practice concept of "people's lawyers for the people". Actively understanding the people, approaching them, grasping their needs, and providing more accurate and high-quality legal services. 2、 Guangzhou law firms should play a leading role, dare to innovate, and provide valuable practical experience for carrying out new public welfare legal services. I hope that Legal Prosperity can fully leverage its own advantages, adhere to the guidance of party building, encourage and guide lawyers, especially young lawyers, to actively participate in public welfare centers and participate in public welfare legal services. 3、 Demand-oriented and precise services contribute to building a convenient city for legal services. The establishment of the Legal Shengbang Public Welfare Center has innovated the channels for the people to enjoy public welfare legal services.

 

 

At the meeting, Director Wu Xiang first expressed sincere gratitude and warm welcome to all the guests for their arrival. Subsequently, he introduced the public welfare history, public welfare titles, honor awards, and other aspects of our institute since its establishment 39 years ago to the attending guests, and led the entire audience to review typical public welfare deeds such as the voluntary participation of legal Shengbang lawyers in public welfare, epidemic prevention, and the "I do practical things for the people" series of activities. Our lawyers will continue to practice the original aspiration of "people's lawyers for the people", actively fulfill their social responsibilities, contribute to the construction of a legal business environment in Guangzhou, and assist in the construction of a legal government in Guangdong.

 

 

Deputy Director Li Xialin delivered a speech as a representative of the Public Welfare Committee of the Municipal Lawyers Association. She shared her personal insights and experiences with the site based on her work modules and practical experience in the second group of the Public Welfare Committee. When it comes to lawyers' participation in public welfare legal services, Deputy Director Li believes that public welfare is a cultivation of personality charm and a way for lawyers to realize their self-worth. She calls on more lawyers to participate in public welfare and public legal services, adhering to the concept of "people's lawyers for the people", not forgetting their original intention, and bravely undertaking their mission.

 

 

Lawyer Qin Jianlong holds a "dual identity" in this forum, serving as both a speech representative of the Municipal Lawyers Association's Unprotected Committee and a spokesperson for the legal system of Shengbang. Lawyer Qin Jianlong mentioned that the current state attaches great importance to the protection of minors. Article 104 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors, implemented on June 1, 2021, establishes the role of "lawyers who are familiar with the physical and mental characteristics of minors" as lawyers in the protection of minors. Subsequently, Lawyer Qin introduced the three major work modules of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association's Non Insurance Committee: campus legal education, case assistance, and project research.

 

 

At the meeting, Lawyer Yang Yang gave a keynote speech on "How Lawyers Conduct Public Welfare Legal Services". Regarding how lawyers can provide public welfare legal services, Lawyer Yang shared his own views: firstly, to improve political standing, we should take the provision of good public welfare legal services as an important manifestation of practicing "people's lawyers", emphasizing active and continuous participation. 2、 We need to identify the entry point for carrying out public welfare legal services. 3、 Do what you can and do your best.

 

 

Lawyer Liao Zhijie gave a keynote speech on "How to Carry out Legal Public Welfare Experience". Lawyer Liao mainly introduced the legal aid and public welfare work of Beijing Yingke (Guangzhou) Law Firm, especially sharing the experience of the "Wu Chengze Party Member Lawyer Studio". He has been committed to promoting public welfare law on campus and community for more than ten years, and has received support from the Guangzhou Legal Aid Foundation, Guangzhou Judicial Bureau, Guangzhou Education Bureau, Huangpu District Judicial Bureau, Conghua District Judicial Bureau, Guangdong Experimental Middle School, and the community The Public Welfare Association and others invited over 100 public welfare lectures.

 

 

Lawyer Wang Huang gave a keynote speech on "Public Welfare Urgently Needs Legal Protection". Lawyer Wang also serves as the Guangdong Hope Project fundraising ambassador and supervisor of the Guangdong Youth Development Foundation. He shared about the urgent need for legal protection for public welfare, as well as the legal risks associated with public welfare, such as whether the public welfare subject has the legal personality to raise donations for public welfare; Whether the source of the donations is legal and the ownership is clear; Whether the management of the use of donations is compliant; Has the copyright, portrait rights, privacy rights, etc. of third parties been infringed upon during public welfare activities.

 

 

Lawyer Qin Jianlong shared his experience in public welfare projects. Lawyer Qin Jianlong specifically mentioned that Sun Zhu, Deputy Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, awarded the flag to the Legal Children's Volunteer Service Team at the 2017 Guangzhou Youth Protection Promotion Week with the theme of "Love in the Flower City, Guarding the Future". Subsequently, we will mainly share the public welfare project of Rule of Law Children's Travel (Baiyun District Branch), introducing the project process, operation, work objectives and vision, specific measures, workflow, and other contents.

Lawyers are originally a profession that deals with society. In the process of paying attention to and helping vulnerable groups, they can have a deeper exposure to society and participate in and promote various social governance work as legal persons.
