On August 23, 2019, the second Guangdong Enterprise Legal Service Forum, hosted by the Guangdong Lawyers Association and hosted by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, was grandly held in Shenzhen. In the round table salon on "Entrepreneurial Legal Risk Prevention and Control", Lawyer Nan Fang discussed three aspects of criminal compliance. Regarding "pre risk prevention", it refers to the development and improvement of internal rules and regulations by enterprises and entrepreneurs with the help of criminal lawyers; Develop criminal compliance prevention and control guidelines and manuals; Implement key control measures for important links, areas, and personnel, and help enterprises establish a risk prevention and control system; Regarding "risk management in the process", it refers to the need for a company to have a sense of rules during its operations, such as conducting criminal compliance reviews on contracts, conducting criminal compliance reviews on trading activities, and conducting due diligence on criminal compliance when necessary; Regarding "post crisis management", it refers to the occurrence of signs of criminal risk or the initiation of legal accountability procedures, which require criminal lawyers to analyze and evaluate the risk in a timely manner, and then try to resolve and reduce the risk as much as possible within the existing legal framework. Alternatively, through timely communication, professional, and effective criminal defense, it can help enterprises and entrepreneurs overcome the crisis.

Finally, Lawyer Nan Fang stated that many enterprises in China have realized the importance of criminal legal risk prevention and control. For example, companies such as Huawei, JD, Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba, Procter&Gamble are hiring professional criminal lawyer teams to review compliance risks and build compliance systems for enterprises. I believe that in the future, more and more enterprises in our country will join the wave of criminal compliance, and as a result, enterprises will also develop more healthily and sustainably.
