In order to further improve the criminal defense ability and professional level of lawyers in our province. On the afternoon of September 7, 2018, the Criminal Law Professional Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Criminal Special Committee"), the Duty Crime Defense Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Duty Defense Committee"), and the Economic Crime Defense Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Economy Defense Committee"), in collaboration with the Zhongshan Lawyers Association, successfully held a lecture on "Public Prosecution Perspective and the Choice of Effective Defense" in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. This lecture will be delivered by Shen Bingyou, a national expert in prosecutorial work and director of the Public Prosecution Division of the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate. The conference was also attended by Lu Hongsheng, President of the Zhongshan Law Association, Zheng Jianmin, Director of the Provincial Criminal Law Commission, Zheng Cheng, Director of the Provincial Vocational Defense Commission, Nan Fang, Senior Partner of Legal Shengbang, Director of the Provincial Economic Defense Commission, Deputy Directors and Members of various specialized committees, as well as more than 150 lawyers from Zhongshan City. The theme of this lecture is: The perspective of public prosecution and the choice of effective defense. The main teaching content of Director Shen Bingyou includes: how to better transform investigation facts, prosecution facts, and defense facts into trial facts; Propose the viewpoint of "seeking great differences while maintaining great similarities" between public prosecution and defense; The starting point of effective defense lies in discovering the true problem, utilizing the synchronous recording and recording procedures of the public prosecution organs, and other case handling procedures. Defense lawyers can meticulously identify clues that are beneficial to the defendant, proposing "evidence doubts, factual doubts, legal doubts, and common sense doubts". Defense lawyers should be good at reasonable doubts, and use rules such as excluding illegal evidence in a targeted manner to provide assistance for the public prosecution organs to effectively prevent errors, Effective communication between prosecution and defense.

During the lecture, Director Shen Bingyou analyzed multiple widely recognized cases and summarized their practices, using a clear and concise approach to connect the teaching focus with practice, achieving a high degree of integration between theory and practice. The new viewpoints and concepts proposed by it are based on the actual needs and future development path of national judicial trials, and have high operability, providing theoretical and practical guidance for defense lawyers to improve their defense skills.

Director Shen Bingyou specially pointed out that preventing unjust, false, and erroneous cases is the common bottom line for both the prosecutor and the lawyer, and both parties work together to make progress, uphold, and strive together. At the end of this lecture, an on-site questioning session was also arranged, and the attending lawyers sought advice from Director Shen Bingyou on the problems encountered during the lawyer's practice process, creating a very lively atmosphere.
